Saraybosna'da Arabayla Ziyaret Edilebilecek En İyi Yerler
Bosna'nın başkentinin ve çevresindeki dağların güzelliğini kendi aracınızın özgürlüğüyle keşfedin.
Gezilecek Yerler

A stunning example of Austro-Hungarian architecture with Moorish revival influences. It houses the National and University Library and features breathtaking stained glass and arches.

The historical Ottoman bridge over the Miljacka river. It gained worldwide fame as the site of the 1914 assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, triggering WWI.
Located along the main riverside road (Obala Kulina bana). Street parking is available nearby, but spots fill up quickly during peak hours.
Sarı Kale (Žuta Tabija)
Part of the old city walls, offering one of the best panoramic views of Sarajevo, especially at sunset or during the holy month of Ramadan when the cannon fires.

Trebević Dağı ve Teleferik
The closest Olympic mountain to the city, featuring dense forests, hiking trails, the abandoned bobsleigh track from the 1984 Winter Olympics, and the Pino Nature Hotel.

A beautiful nature park featuring the springs of the Bosna River, crisscrossed with wooden bridges, small islands, and walking paths under a canopy of trees.

Two magnificent Olympic mountains offering exceptional skiing in winter and hiking, mountain biking, and fresh air in the summer. Babin Do is the main hub on Bjelašnica.
A 40-50 minute drive from Sarajevo. The roads are well-maintained, but winter tires are mandatory (and essential) from November to April. Large parking areas at the base.
Jahorina Dağı
Another major Olympic mountain, famous for its excellent ski slopes, modern infrastructure, and vibrant après-ski scene. Great for summer mountain escapes as well.
About 45 minutes from Sarajevo via Pale. The mountain road is scenic and fully paved. Plentiful hotel and public parking, though it gets crowded in peak ski season.
Bijambare Doğa Parkı
A protected landscape known for its complex of spectacular caves, thick pine forests, and peaceful meadows. The main cave is open to visitors.
Located about 40km north of Sarajevo (direction Olovo/Tuzla). A pleasant hour-long drive. There is a large parking lot at the entrance; access to the caves is via a tourist train or walking.
Skakavac Şelalesi
One of the tallest and most beautiful waterfalls in the Balkans (98 meters high), hidden deep in a dense, lush forest north of the city.

Pratik Sürüş ve Park Etme İpuçları
Merkezde Park Etme
Sokak otoparkı bölgelere ayrılmıştır (Bölge 1 en pahalıdır, maksimum 2 saat). Eski Şehir'e stressiz ziyaretler için BBI Center (Aria Mall), SCC Mall veya Belediye Binası (Vijećnica) yakınındaki büyük açık otopark gibi resmi otoparkları kullanın.
Eski Şehir'de Navigasyon
Baščaršija sadece yayalara açıktır. Çevreleyen sokaklar genellikle dar tek yönlüdür. GPS'inize güvenin ancak fiziksel sokak işaretlerine dikkat edin, çünkü bazı yamaç yolları son derece dik ve dar olabilir.
Kış Sürüşü
Kış lastikleri 1 Kasım'dan 1 Nisan'a kadar yasal olarak zorunludur. Kışın Olimpik dağlara sürüş yapıyorsanız, kiralık aracınızın kar zincirleriyle (AR Rent a Car tarafından sağlanır) donatıldığından emin olun.
Is renting a car in Sarajevo worth it?
If you plan to stay strictly within the Baščaršija pedestrian zone for two days, you likely won't need a car. However, if your itinerary spans three or more days, or includes Mount Trebević, the Tunnel of Hope, Vrelo Bosne, the Olympic mountains, or day trips into the broader Herzegovina region, a rental car is absolutely invaluable.
Where should I park when visiting the Old Town (Baščaršija)?
Baščaršija is pedestrian-only. Use official parking lots like BBI Center (Aria Mall), SCC Mall, or the large open lot near City Hall (Vijećnica). Street parking is divided into zones — Zone 1 is the most expensive with a 2-hour maximum.
Are winter tires mandatory in Bosnia and Herzegovina?
Yes. Winter tires are legally mandatory from November 1st to April 1st. If driving to the Olympic mountains in winter, ensure your rental car is equipped with snow chains — AR Rent a Car provides them on request.
How long does it take to drive from Sarajevo to the Olympic mountains?
Trebević is 15-20 minutes from the city center, Jahorina about 45 minutes via Pale, and Igman/Bjelašnica roughly 40-50 minutes on well-maintained roads.
Do I need a 4x4 or SUV to visit these places?
For most attractions a standard car is perfectly adequate. An SUV is highly recommended only for the final unpaved stretch to Skakavac Waterfall and for winter driving to the Olympic mountains.
