Sarajevo to Mostar by Car

Distance: Around 130 km Driving time: Approximately 2 to 2.5 hours The drive from Sarajevo to Mostar is one of the most scenic road trips in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The route follows the A1 motorway before continuing through Konjic and Jablanica along the Neretva River. Konjic is a good stop for coffee, lunch or a short walk around its historic stone bridge. Jablanica is known for mountain scenery and restaurants serving roasted lamb. In Mostar, park outside the pedestrian Old Town and continue on foot. Počitelj

Počitelj is a historic hillside village south of Mostar. It is known for stone houses, narrow streets, a mosque and fortress views over the Neretva Valley. Comfortable footwear is recommended because the paths are steep and uneven.

Kravica Waterfalls

Kravica Waterfalls are among the most popular natural attractions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The area is especially busy during summer, so arriving earlier in the day is advisable. Swimming may be possible depending on weather, water levels and local rules. Bring suitable footwear because paths near the water can be slippery.

Visiting Mostar, Blagaj, Počitelj and Kravica in one day is possible, but it requires an early departure from Sarajevo.

Its main waterfall is located directly beside the town centre. Distance: Around 120 km Driving time: Approximately 2 to 2.5 hours The route from Sarajevo to Višegrad passes through eastern Bosnia and includes mountain roads, river valleys and many bends. Višegrad is best known for the historic bridge over the Drina River. Visitors can also explore Andrićgrad, a cultural complex with cafés, restaurants and stone buildings. The road is suitable for a standard rental car, but drivers should remain cautious on curves and avoid unnecessary overtaking.

Sarajevo to Sutjeska National Park

Distance to Tjentište: Around 100 km Driving time: Approximately 2 hours Sutjeska National Park is one of the best destinations in Bosnia and Herzegovina for hiking, mountain scenery and nature. The main access point is Tjentište, where visitors can see the Valley of Heroes memorial complex.
